NFTs are still a hot topic and of great interest to many companies. A long list of gaming companies dealing with NFTs and blockchain technology includes Ubisoft, Square Enix and others.

Despite all the interest, there have also been many who oppose their use in their games or business models, such as Minecraft developer Mojang or Steam, which completely banned NFTs in their stores.

Now, in a new survey conducted during EVO 2022, there are people wondering if Sony will consider entering the NFT on Sunday.

They recently launched PlayStation Stars, a loyalty program that some worry may be related to the NFT craze taking over the industry. They pointed out that there is nothing about blockchain technology when it comes to the new service.

However, a survey question asked by them may indicate that the company is still interested in using them. The question asks users which of the listed answers they are most interested in buying.

The list includes: “Evo Brand”, “favorite music artists”, “Favorite esports players/teams”, “PlayStation Items” and “favorite game characters”. Interestingly, there is no option to select any of them to continue in the survey.

At this point, it is unclear what this means. It is quite possible that Sony, despite being the owner of EVO, has nothing to do with this survey/question. Although the answers listed seem to include both the EVO brand and the PlayStation, the EVO is also jointly owned by Endeavor.

It’s just a matter of waiting for now, we’ll keep you posted.
